When IE Tab doesn't work
Published on January 25, 2006 By liquidguru In Windows XP
if you want to install Windows updates from within Firefox, but IE Tab does not work, there is another solution. Windizupdate... very simple and it works...go to their website and follow the instructions... i tried it on a friends laptop that IE Tab wouldn't work on and not only did it work, it was much much faster at getting the updates than going through Mircosofts website

Nice, thanks for the tip. Sometimes Microsoft Update can be a little slow.

Windizupdate works with Opera too! About 10 times faster than MS Update on dialup.

Thanks for the link and tip. I've seen this available for download on a few sites but never really bothered looking into it....now I'll definitely have to look into it.

Been using the AutoPatcher for a bit now and haven't had any problems as of yet.
